We are the crazy dog people. You know our type. We scoop the poop and wear the title of "crazy dog lady" with a sense of pride. At any given party you’ll find us on the floor, making friends with the nearest animal. We rarely approach a stranger on the street. But a stranger with a dog? We’ll be besties in under 60 seconds. There are wet nose smudges on our windows and dog hairs in our…well, everywhere. We share our beds, our snacks, our sofas and our hearts with our pups. Nearly all of the donations to Friends of the Shelter go directly to pay for the medical, surgical, recuperative and infirmary care of over 350 shelter dogs that are sick, injured, abused or neglected. Friends of the Shelter does not receive any funding from taxes, national organizations or government entities.
