EVENT DATE: Oct 08, 2017
This October I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon for Erika’s Lighthouse, a foundation dedicated to raising awareness for adolescent depression and breaking down stigma surrounding it. The stigma surrounding all mental health issues can be overwhelming and makes it difficult for anyone, particularly adolescents, to seek help when needed. I’ve seen the toll that depression can take on some of the people closest to me. The hardest part of addressing the issues they faced was breaking through this intense stigma. I’m proud to be running Chicago for a foundation that does such incredible work on a very prevalent and severe issue, ultimately helping countless teens. If you are able, I would greatly appreciate any and all donations to Erika’s Lighthouse through my fundraising site below. Please feel free to share with anyone that may be interested in supporting the foundation as well! Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

We believe that every young person deserves mental health and the right to a life full of purpose. We work to spread the message that although depression is common, and can be serious, you can get better. You are not alone.
Committed to educating and raising awareness about adolescent depression, encouraging good mental health and breaking down the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, Erika’s Lighthouse: A Beacon of Hope for Adolescent Depression is rapidly becoming one of the Midwest’s premier providers of middle school and high school depression awareness curricula, teen-to-teen outreach and online resources.
Join us in this movement and be a part of something bigger. Together we can Get Depression Out of the Dark!
