6 years ago, Gideon was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome. At the time of Gideon's diagnosis, we knew nothing about Fragile X except that 1 of my cousins had it. Since then, we have learned a ton which helped tremendously when Keegan was diagnosed 3 years ago. But still go places and meet people often who say, "what is fragile x?" There is still so much awareness and hope to spread.
Meeting others who have children with Fragile X has been a lifeline for us. Our goal is to spread awareness and hope so families know they are not alone in this walk. We are all in this together.
We hope you can make it and come walk with us October 22nd at Raymond Rimkus Park as we walk to spread awareness about Fragile X Syndrome. If you can't make it on the walk day, there are still ways you can help and we would love for you to spread awareness where you are by donating and sharing this fundraiser to support Team Gideon and Keegan and the other families who are affected by Fragile X. Your support is greatly appreciated!
This is our San Antonio chapter's premier fundraiser that allows us to continue our mission of Support, Awareness, Advocacy. We strive to have a monthly support group, family events and a supportive network for those affected by Fragile X Syndrome. Your participation in this walk helps make that happen.
The walk will be held at Raymond Rimkus Park October 22nd at 9:00am!
