Scott was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma on December 31, 2015 with metastases to his liver, lung, and brain.
Scott and his wife, Tracy, have an amazing support system through their family, church, friends, and work. Many have expressed an interest in helping in any and every way possible. Their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs continue to be met on a minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour, day-by-day basis. And for that, they are beyond grateful and give God the glory. There have also been requests on how to help them financially as medical expenses are adding up.
So welcome to this page.
After tests, scans, and consultations with oncology specialists, Scott began radiation and IV infusion immunotherapy treatments to battle the cancer. He has completed the three radiation treatments to the brain. In regards to the liver and lung, he was only able to complete two of the recommended four infusion treatments. He was hospitalized twice following each IV infusion, due to the toxic nature of the drugs and life threatening side effects. As a result, the physician deemed that this course of treatment has failed and Scott will not be allowed to continue this therapy. Chemotherapy is the last “standard of care” option, which has a 7-10% success rate in slowing tumor growth. Before agreeing to undergo chemo and suffer the side effects, Scott has decided to seek out alternative treatments in the form of clinical trials and restorative health efforts. These options are not regularly covered by insurance.
Scott and Tracy continue to rely on God for all things as they walk this journey. We, as their support system, have another opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, by helping them with their financial needs. If you feel led, please give. If not, Scott and Tracy appreciate your love and prayers most of all.
Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes [Scott is] healed.
James 5:15a - And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.
(Note: While I have organized this site and worked with Scott and Tracy on the set-up, please note that all funds donated will go directly to a bank account that they have set-up specifically for Scott's medical expenses. Thanks!)
