In 2014/2015 Heather went through 6 rounds (12 treatments) of chemo therapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Her diagnosis came just 4 months after giving birth to her daughter.
Heather and her Co-Survivors will be participating in the New England Tough Mudder on June 18, 2016 to raise money for the ECHO Cancer Foudation.
During chemo treatments, volunteers for the ECHO Foundation called Beacons of Hope offered patients tea, coffee, blankets, snacks, cookies, and much more. The majority of these Beacons of Hope are former cancer patients themselves. 100% of the funds raised will be used by ECHO to purchase "treats" that help make chemo treatments more comfortable for patients.
Team Heather wants to give hope to others by showing that in just one year you can come back from cancer and finish a Tough Mudder!
