BENEFITING: AKRON CHILDRENS MUSEUM
Although Bob and I moved to NYC 10 years ago, we are deeply connected to our roots here in Akron. We love coming back “home”- and now we love sharing the experiences we had as kids with our daughter.
We are beyond excited for the Akron Children’s Museum project, not only for our own family, but for all the families that will get the chance to experience this extraordinary place. Although we didn’t have this growing up, we see the immense advantages of a children’s museum - which is why we are so passionate about helping to move it along in this fundraising effort.
We both have careers centered around child development. Bob is the owner of an after-school program, and I am an elementary school science teacher. We understand how crucial it is to provide children with learning opportunities that are engaging and fun. We know the types of things that motivate kids to participate, fuel their creativity and keep them excited to learn more.
This museum embodies all that and more. It’s a safe place where kids can be social, be challenged and be inspired. It’s a place that should be a staple of any city and we’re so incredibly appreciative of Betsy and Ryan Hartschuh and their fellow board members who have been working tirelessly these past 4 years to make this dream a reality.
Now is our chance to lend a hand! AMC needs to raise $30,000 to fund the next step of their Lock 3 construction. Collectively, the modest donations of hundreds of Ohioans like us can make this dream a reality! Please share this with friends and family – in turbulent times this is a cause we can all get behind. Thank you for your support!
