As many of you know, I’ve been engaged in a mentorship program at iMentor. This program pairs high school students from low-income communities with working professionals in a way to guide these students towards a college driven mindset.
iMentor builds mentoring relationships, empowering first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.
We hope you can join us in celebrating iMentor and supporting its commitment to education. The iMentor Challenge is our chance to do just that. It's a community-driven crowdfunding campaign powered by our mentors and their friends, families and colleagues.
It costs iMentor $1,000 to provide one mentor-mentee pair with access to iMentor’s proven college success curriculum and resources. Here is what your support can do for New York City’s students:
- $25 allows a mentee to attend a year of iMentor events
- $100 supplies a mentee with a year's access to monthly career and college preparation events
- $500 provides a college application event for an entire Junior class
- $1,000 supports the mentorship of one student as they work one-on-one with their mentor toward academic and personal success
