For a long time now, I've wanted to find a way to give back and work with kids at the same time. When I first heard about iMentor, I knew it was the perfect fit. Here is a a program that focuses on helping teenagers prepare for and get into college. Many of these kids, including my mentee, are immigrants or simply the first in their family to even think about college. iMentor pairs up a college educated person living in NYC with a high school student in order to help the next generation do and become anything they want.
I love being a part of iMentor more than I thought I would. I joke about having a teenager all of a sudden but that's what it feels like! I feel responsible for helping make sure she does well on her SATs, her exams, and is looking into colleges that'll be a good fit for her. This program does a lot of good and I'm hoping you can help me do a little more by helping raise as much money as possible for the organization. Thank you for even the smallest amount you can contribute!

Now, more than ever, we need to show our students that there are countless people across the country who care deeply about them, who stand with them and who will do whatever it takes to help them achieve their ambitions.
The iMentor Challenge is our chance to do just that. It's a community-driven crowdfunding campaign powered by our mentors and their friends, families and colleagues.
It costs iMentor $1,000 to provide one mentor-mentee pair with access to iMentor’s proven college success curriculum and resources. Here is what your support can do for New York City’s students:
- $25 allows a mentee to attend a year of iMentor events
- $100 supplies a mentee with a year's access to monthly career and college preparation events
- $500 provides a college application event for an entire Junior class
- $1,000 supports the mentorship of one student as they work one-on-one with their mentor toward academic and personal success
