Welcome to my 2017 Team iMentor Challenge page! As many of you know, I am a mentor to a New York City high school student through iMentor. iMentor provides students in low-income communities with mentors who are dedicated to helping them succeed in college and beyond. I'm currently in my fourth year of my fourth multi-year match. His name is Ricardo, and he's a senior at Business of Sports School. Please help iMentor by supporting my page today. Every contribution will help support more mentor-mentee pairs like Ricardo and me.
Now, more than ever, we need to show our students that there are countless people across the country who care deeply about them, who stand with them and who will do whatever it takes to help them achieve their ambitions.
The iMentor Challenge is our chance to do just that. It's a community-driven crowdfunding campaign powered by our mentors and their friends, families and colleageues.
Crowdrise makes it easy, fun and effective for mentors to share their story and raise crucial dollars to connect even more students with mentors. Three hundred more students to be exact. We’re going big this year and looking to raise $300,000 so we can bring iMentor to a whole new school in New York City.
It costs iMentor $1,000 to provide one mentor-mentee pair with access to iMentor’s proven college success curriculum and resources. Here is what your support can do for New York City’s students:
- $25 allows a mentee to attend a year of iMentor events
- $100 supplies a mentee with a year's access to monthly career and college preparation events
- $500 provides a college application event for an entire Junior class
- $1,000 supports the mentorship of one student as they work one-on-one with their mentor toward academic and personal success
