Team Madison Fights the Madness is heading back to the Florence Forth in Durham, NC for the 4th year in a row. We are fundraising for this important cause "so that no one faces autoimmune encephalitis alone". The money this race raises directly impacts families suffering from this disease and assists doctors in finding a cure. In 2012, then 6-year-old Madison became very sick. After several weeks of tests and doctors visits she was finally diagnosed with Anti-NMDA Receptor Autoimmune Encephalitis. She had a long journey with hospital stays and IVIG, steroid, and chemo treatments, but she fought with courage and beat the disease. Today Madison is a happy, healthy 10-year-old 4th grader who loves soccer, reading, and her family. Team Madison Fights the Madness is doing whatever we can to raise awareness and funding for this devastating disease. Please consider helping us by joining us for the 5K/10K in Durham or by making a tax deductible donation in Madison's name. Thank you for your support!
