BENEFITING: KYLE PEASE FOUNDATION INC
“I am extremely excited to be participating in this year’s Marine Corps Marathon with the Kyle Pease Foundation! This race is very personal to me, as I did serve four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. I will be using a self-propelled hand cycle during the marathon since I do not have running prosthetics yet, but it will still be a challenge for me. This will be a great opportunity to show fellow amputees that you can still get out there and be active!” -Cindy Martinez
“When I met Cindy I knew one day we would run together. When I found out she is a Marine I knew Marine Corps Marathon would be the first Marathon we would complete together. Completing MCM will not give Cindy her limbs back, but it may do something more important: provide a light in darkness for someone else. That light will remind them they are not alone, there is reason for hope, and the best is yet to come.”-Marjan Holbrook
Together we need to raise $10,000 to purchase a special self-propelled hand cycle, cover our expenses, and help KPF continue to help others. Every dollar helps and is 100% tax-deductible. The Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit. KPF helps with scholarship opportunities, purchasing of medical equipment or adaptive sports equipment for others or contributing to other organizations that provide similar assistance to disabled persons as well as participating in educational campaigns to create awareness about Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities.
