Hey guys!! This year I have decided to run a full marathon (something I said I would never do again)! But after hearing about what Medals of Honor does for fallen military families, I could not let a little thing like 26.2 miles stand in my way. On the team, we will be wearing a Memorial bib that has the name of a fallen warrior/soldier on it. At the end of the marathon, we give our medal from the Marine Corp Marathon to a Gold Star family, which is a family that has lost a son/daughter/spouse defending our country. For me, it is but a SMALL gesture of gratitude that I can show to someone who gave everything while providing freedom for all of us. If you feel a tug to give some money towards my goal of $500, it is much appreciated. All the money goes to directly towards honoring our fallen military and current military. If you can't, it is very understandable - but if you can send prayers for stamina would be appreciated. I have to "Beat the Bridge" and cross the 14th st bridge by 1:15 that day or I cannot finish the rest of the marathon.
