EVENT: Below the Belt 5k
EVENT DATE: May 15, 2016
Every 5 minutes, a woman in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a “below the belt” gynecologic cancer, including cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva and vagina. The goal of our Below the Belt Stride and Thrive 5K race is to bring together cancer survivors, their family members and friends, women’s health specialists, and the local community to encourage fitness, raise gynecologic cancer awareness, and educate women to seek out expert care earlier. All race proceeds will go towards funding innovative gynecologic cancer research and for local women’s cancer survivorship programming at Johns Hopkins.
Will you join my team in honor of my mother? Race entry fees are $35 through Wednesday, May 11 ($45 on race day).
