My personal thoughts on why this is so important
March 27, 2016
The crux at hand:
If we meet this goal, we're off to the races!
Team Rwanda is going to the U.S. to learn vital
technical racing skills with the goal of riding for
the professional organizations that will further
develop their careers. This will be the first time
in Team Africa Rising's 10 year history
an ELITE level team will compete in these events.
We'll be touring two weeks of regional races in California.
A week long training camp in Lake Tahoe California.
A national level criterium in Boise Idaho.
One of the biggest stage races in North America, The Cascade Classic, in Bend Oregon.
And finally the premier spectacle in all of North American bicycle racing:
The San Rafael Twilight Criterium in Northern California.
It's gonna be bananas.
The smallest viable scale for this voyage is 4 riders and 1 coach.
How many of us are there depends on you.
I believe in this initiative with my whole heart.
Unless I die before then, come July: We'll be there with bells on.
It is incumbent on all of us to do our due diligence with the bandwidth that we have.
