Please help my team, Skull Crushers, raise the necessary funds to complete our Lost Lakes journey and help families that are affected by CF every day. Your donation will go directly to the Lost Lake Run, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization that is seeking the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
In 1986, a made for TV movie called "Alex: The Life of a Child" depicted the story of Alexandra Deford, a little girl who was just eight years old when she died in 1980 following a battle against the debilitating effects of cystic fibrosis (CF), the number-one genetic killer of children. This movie brought this devastating disease into the homes and hearts of millions. While no cures for cystic fibrosis are known, the management of CF has improved significantly over the past 70 years with infants today likely living well into adulthood. Recent advances in the treatment of cystic fibrosis allow individuals with the disease to live a fuller life less encumbered by their condition. Thank you in advance for your support!
