Aim high for the big guy! ;)Aim high for the big guy! ;) Welcome to our "Team Tannenbaum" Homepage! As you know by now, our affable and genuine friend Mark was formally diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in December 2015. "NO WAY", we all said ... "This cannot be." But, after three confirmed opinions from top-notch neurological specialists, the time has come to face the reality of Mark's diagnosis. In a nutshell, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that destroys the motor neurons that control voluntary muscle movement, leading to paralysis and untimely death. See: https://vimeo.com/171607968 There is currently no cure ... however, there is always hope. By supporting the ALS Association (ALSA), we can make life easier for PALS (People with ALS) and be a part of the collaborative effort to treat and find a cure for ALS through global research and national advocacy. The Greater Sacramento Chapter of ALSA has been incredibly supportive of the Tannenbaum family as they navigate everyday healthcare challenges and strive to provide Mark the best possible care. In the spirit of cooperation and teamwork ... uniting to defeat this debilitating disease... please consider joining Mark and "Team Tannenbaum" at Sacramento's ALSA Walk to Defeat ALS® at Raley Field on Oct. 1, 2016. Sign up to walk with us at the event, sponsor one of our enthusiastic and appreciative team members or simply donate as a virtual team member to show your support for Mark. However you choose to participate, please know that Mark, his family and the ALS Association are very grateful for your support. Together we can make a difference ...
