It took me almost a month to rescue Tut from a shelter that "did not adopt out pit bulls". After I told the shelter they could stop saying that, I was going to get her -- I finally did. The night the rescue group brought her to me, they told me she had heartworms and "did I still want her?" OF COURSE I DID! Long story short -- with the help of the rescue group, some awesome friends donating to the treatment fund and the Pet Community Center, Tut had her treatment and is heartworm free. Tut continues to get her flea/tick and heartworm meds, as well as all her shots at PCC. The people are awesome, their mission is incredible and we are happy to help them out!!!
