Each Thanksgiving, many of us are blessed to have a comfortable home, surrounded by family & friends, and an abundance of food. We self-reflect and express gratitude for all that we have been given, with a warm, satisfying Thanksgiving meal often acting as the cornerstone for celebrating the holiday. However, the unfortunate reality is that there are families who face this day with empty plates and limited means to take part in this American tradition.
Last year, I joined a team of over 400 volunteers at FeedingNYC's 15th Anniversary event to package & hand-deliver nearly 3,000 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need. Watching middle and high school students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, families with children as young as six years old, all volunteer their morning to help their community was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together to elevate each other's lives.
This year, Yonathan and I would like to ask our dearest friends & family to help support our team in providing meals to those in need. No American should face this holiday feeling hungry, forgotten, or left out. We ask that you help us deliver joy and comfort by donating to our FeedingNYC team.
