WAIT!? I have a question...
What is Fight Gone Bad?
Each competitor on each team completes three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20/14lb, 10ft target
wall-balls are basically 20 pound beachballs. each rep starts with a full front squat, then a basketball free-throw up to a ten foot target -- each rep is worth 1 point
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75/55 pounds
sumo high-pulls take a loaded barbell from the ground to shoulder level, with the feet in a wide stance with feet pointed out -- each rep is worth 1 point
Box Jump, 20" box
as simple as it sounds, but not as easy! -- the athlete starts on the ground and finishes on the box. -- each rep is worth 1 point
Push-press, 75/55 pounds
in a push-press, the athlete moves a loaded barbell from shoulder height to overhead, assisted by a dip and drive motion with the legs -- each rep is worth 1 point
the Concept2 ergometer, also known as a CrossFitter's worst enemy, calculates the calories an athlete burns over a workout -- each calorie burned during the minute is worth 1 point
One minute rest between each round. For your financial support we will spend 17 minutes in pure metabolic conditoning hell. There will be pictures of our humiliation. Vomit may fly. It's the way we like to support charity.
The event is taking place at CrossFit South Brooklyn (Degraw St, between 3rd and 4th Ave), starting at 9AM on Saturday, 20 October. Come yell, cheer, or have a drink in support our team and our friends!
