BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Sammy can soon roll with the wind in his very own Team Hoyt Custom chair!
Here is a special note from Sammy's Dad:
My Name is Ricardo(Rich) Lomas. My wife (Sue) and I have a son named Sammy. He was diagnosed with a very rare syndrome, which at the time of his birth in 1994, was the only 8th child(person) with this syndrome. He has a piece of the 22nd chromosome missing, which the technical name of the syndrome is 22q13 deletion. My wife and I along with other parents with children of this syndrome help start a foundation to raise awareness and also named the syndrome as “Phelan-McDermid Syndrome”. Sue continues as president of the foundation, while Sammy and I continue to raise awareness through participating in running events. Sue is our biggest supporter when we go racing. Sammy loves the outdoors and loves hearing the crowds cheering him on. Our goal is someday to do the Boston Marathon. Please help us in purchasing a custom chair for Sammy as we continue our goal in raising awareness for his syndrome by participating in running events as “TEAM22q13.
