Lisa Lovatt Smith, OrphanAid Africa Founder
I'm excited to be part of this project because I know what it means to the children we work with. It means access to school, medicine and a dignified living environment. Most of all it means fighting abandonment and keeping families together. Oh, and of course it's a nice change to be with all these inspiring ladies for a few precious days instead of battling the heat in Ghana!!
Maria Cristina Mello Grand:
I've always been a motor-head, I love red and above all I admire Lisa. Sharing this journey with her is a gift that life presented me with, and I am beyond happy to know that such great fun also has such a deep purpose. I set out with joy in my heart and the firm belief that this joy will be contagious. We will be irresistible on our flaming red cars, and those we will meet along the way will not be able to do otherwise than embrace our cause.
OrphanAid Africa (www.oafrica.org) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization, founded by Lisa in 2002. Its aim is to ensure that children in Ghana grow up in safe and permanent family settings with appropriate care and protection.
