This year I am riding in the Tour de South Shore in memory of Noel Coletti who passed away recently after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. I am riding in honor of my friends Debbie Young Coletti and Sarah Coletti, his beloved wife and daughter. Debbie and Noel met in high school and built their lives together. Noel was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when he was 52 years old at the height of his career. Debbie was at his side every step of the way while she watched him slip away. A strong and smart woman, Debbie handled a seemingly impossible situation with grace, determination, and honesty. I am riding for them and for all those whose lives have been torn apart by the horrors of Alzheimer's disease.
