About team ALSMA:
Team ALSMA is a dedicated group of Boston Marathon runners who are raising awareness and funds to benefit the cutting-edge research, vital patient care programs and important advocacy work of the ALS Assn. MA Chapter. Each team member has a relationship to a patient who has battled or is battling this disease. They run because they can! Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progrssive, fatal, neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2-5 years from the time of diagnosis. Every 90 minutes, some is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone will lose their battle with this disease. Please support a member of Team ALSMA!
Thanks and comeout and cheers our runners on Marathon Monday!
