BENEFITING: Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles
EVENT: ASICS LA Marathon 2013
EVENT DATE: Mar 17, 2013
On March 17, 2013, I will be running in the LA Marathon, in order to raise money for the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. I am excited to meet the challenge of running 26.2 miles, especially for such a good cause, but I need YOUR help. Don't worry-you won't have to run :)!
I have two ambitious goals – 1) to cross the marathon finishing line; as of today, I am up to running 18 miles at 9:40 per mile, and I recently completed a half marathon in San Diego, CA in 2:13, and 2) to meet my personal goal of raising $800 for the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. As of today, I have raised $695 from my friends and family and an anonymous donor has offered to match dollar for dollar all donations made to my fundraising campaign. This means that your $25 contribution will result in a $50 donation to the Asian Pacific American Legal Center
Your tax-deductible gift will help the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC) to advocate for civil rights, provide legal services and education, and build coalitions to positively influence and impact Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders and to create a more equitable and harmonious society.
So, please join me in supporting this very important cause.
Thank you for your consideration and support!

This is APALC's fourth year as an Official Charity of the Los Angeles Marathon. We have a small but mighty team of staff, board members, friends, and colleagues running with us. Your donations help us provide direct services, leadership training, policy analysis and advocacy, impact litigation, and civil rights support for limited English proficient, low income Asian Americans Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles.
