BENEFITING: ATLANTIC CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP LTD
EVENT DATE: Jun 28, 2014
Over the past several decades, there has been a dramatic decline in the health of coral reef systems globally. Bermuda is one of the few remaining locations with relatively healthy reefs. For this reason, the Island's shallow water marine habitats serve both as an important barometer of global reef health and as an "ark" where reef plants and animals might survive until neighbouring Atlantic reefs recover.
On 28 June 2014 our team is participating in a citizen scientist initiative along with a fleet of other boats to collect reef data and raise money for collaborative study of our shared US, Bermuda, and Caribbean environment.
Donate and help protect the unique and essential Atlantic reefs!
