Stacy and I, along with other members of our family, are teaming up to support our cousin Joey Jones. Below is Joey's story.
Joey is a retired United States Marine. His eight year career in the Marines was brought to an end after he was severely injured in August 2010 where he lost his legs above the knee in Afghanistan. Joey's passion for life was a catalyst that helped him recover from his wounds and motivate other wounded veterans to do the same. He is spokesman and member of the Boot Campaign and helped create an event called the 'Final Push' in Washington D.C. last year. The concept is easy, you and all your friend come out and do push ups to show support, and raise awareness and funds for the Boot Campaign, a military not-for-profit that provides assistance and experiences for our Nation's Heroes! Joey IS our American hero and a true inspiration for so many of us. We hope you'll join us in helping Joey and our Nation's heroes!

- Starting on Armed Forces Day, May 17th, Americans throughout the U.S. willshow their support of the 1.4 million men and women who are currently serving by completing as many pushups as they can in 90 seconds.
- Each pushup completed raises much needed funds for Boot Campaign®, a national nonprofit that promotes patriotism, raises awareness and provides vital assistance for our nation’s heroes.
- The Boot Campaign® provides assistance to our military and their family members through six key initiatives: Jobs, Housing, Wellness, Education, Urgent Assistance and Family Support.
