BENEFITING: San Diego Blood Bank
Hearing Ella's story changed me forever. Ella has a rare blood disease called Thalassemia. She has needed a pint of blood every 2 weeks since she was a baby just to stay alive, and she will need it the rest of her life.
The stories at the San Diego Blood Bank are so unique and so powerful. Without the support of generous financial donors, San Diego's community blood bank could not exist. The costs to process blood to make it safe for tranfusion continue to rise with changing government regulations and the need to replace aging equipment.
Let's keep a safe and constant blood supply available to our friends, family, and neighbors, as well as people we may never meet. Lives depend on our generosity.
