BENEFITING: Road Recovery Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 28, 2012
Last year it was biking 100 miles through New York City. This year, Team Bright Antenna Records will be sweating it out together the weekend of October 27-28 to raise money for Road Recovery. The location: Maui. The events: the XTERRA Off-Road Triathlon World Championships and Trail Runs.
The money we raise together will use music to help at-risk teens and young adults - a fact that Team Bright Antenna has seen first hand working with Road Recovery. The work they do is extraordinary, life-changing and life-saving.
$20 provides creative workshop supplies (guitar strings, drum sticks, art supplies).
$50 provides one session scholarship funding for a finacially in-need teen or young adult battling substance abuse.
$100 provides one week scholarship funding for a financially in-need teen or young adult battling substance abuse.
$400 provides one month of scholarship funding for a financially in-need teen or young adult battling substance abuse.
Road Recovery is dedicated to helping young people battle addiction and other adversities by harnessing the influence of entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar crises. These professionals share their experience, knowledge, and resources, collaborating with the young people to create and present their own live concert events. A noble cause if there ever was one. Your tax-deductible contribution will be well placed and appreciated.
Our goal is to raise at least $15,000.
Scott, the shaggy-headed blonde guy in the profile pic, will be hitting the XTERRA Triathlon World Championships, while the rest of the crew will be dusting up the 5K and 10K trail runs, including Kaitlin, who is growing out of Pat's arm in the photo and who also has an injured ankle!
We'll be sending out updates before, during and after the events.
Thank you for you support!
