BENEFITING: The ALS Association Jim Catfish Hunter Chapter
I am running the NYC Half marathon in March in honor of my aunt Beth who was diagnosed with ALS in December of 2014. This fundraiser is to raise money for the Catfish Hunter ALS Chapter. This foundation started in North Carolina, after Jim Catfish Hunter, a former pitcher for the New York Yankees died from Lou Gehrig's disease at the age of 54. Contributions have allowed research to be funded for early diagnosis and a cure; equipment for patients; grants for patients and providing assistance for medical expenses and equipment. All money raised will be donated to The Catfish Hunter ALS foundation in support for all of those suffering from this illness as well as my loving aunt.
