This is my third time running the Boston Marathon and it's always such a thrill. So much hard work and dedication is involved, running through all kinds of weather to properly train. But the reward at the end of having finished something so few ever attempt leaves me so fulfilled.
Being employed at Beth Israel as one of the Project Managers for the Cancer Center project, I have worked very closely with the clinicians who will be using this site. I know first hand the work and effort that goes into building this new site and the dedicated team of individuals who make it all come together, much like training for this marathon. But more importantly, I know the great work that BIDMC does and the commitment they share with their patients for their care.
While training for this marathon is tremendous work, what our patients go through can't compare and I run in honor of them with the hope that with enough money raised, we can end this fight.
