ORGANIZER: BIG D POWDERPUFF TACKLING ALZHEIMERS INC
It’s SUMMER TIME and I am EXTREMELY excited to share that I have teamed up with BvB Dallas to help raise awareness and research for a disease on the rise, Alzheimer’s. I will be dedicating 10 weeks of my summer to train, practice and participate in a powder-puff football game, which will be played at the Cotton Bowl on August 13th!
BvB Dallas is a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s disease. Founded by sisters whose father was afflicted by Alzheimer’s. BvB is a personal way for young professionals across the country to raise awareness, funds and support to tackle Alzheimer’s forever! BvB Dallas has been the most successful game on and off the field, raising more than $2.3 million and recruiting over 1,000 volunteers for the cause!
Who are we without our memories? They are what define us. To even try to imagine a loved one or friend with this disease is heartbreaking. Please, take a moment to think about this…
So, where does all this dough go you may ask? Donations made to BvB Dallas will go directly to those living with Alzheimer’s and those fighting to find a cure. BvB Dallas’ 2016 Beneficiaries are: Baylor Neuroscience Center, Center for Brain Health- The University of Texas at Dallas, and UT Southwestern Medical Center. The amount of success each center has already had with their studies/research is INCREDIBLE! But there is still so much to learn.
Let’s ALL help out to help fight this horrible disease, if not for a loved one then for our “SELF” and a lifetime of nostalgia!
A $25 donation will get you a ticket to come watch the game at the Cotton Bowl and entry into the after party with live music and adult refreshments provided by Bud Light! Game day is the evening of August 13th. Any amount is truly appreciated and NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL! Here is the link to my fundraising page:
