BENEFITING: BIG D POWDERPUFF TACKLING ALZHEIMERS INC
ORGANIZER: BIG D POWDERPUFF TACKLING ALZHEIMERS INC
BVB Dallas will tackle Alzheimer's Disease. We do this by playing (I coach) flag football, which happens at the Cotton Bowl on August 13. To date we've raised over $2,000,000. Silly-sounding strategy, serious impact.
This year the organization aims to raise $600,000, and we have committed to fund:
1. The first-ever Alzheimer's-specific post-doctoral Fellowship at UTSW. We're training a Wizard-Ninja-General to fight the good fight.
2. Phase 2 study of Gist Reasoning Training at UT-Dallas' Center for BrainHealth. Workouts for your brain that...really work. Cognitive Decline can't happen if you keep getting smarter.
3. Metabolite research at Baylor ATT Memory Center. Concerned you'll experience Cognitive Decline several years down the road? Provide a urine sample and find out immediately.
