It has been a dream of mine to complete the Boston Marathon since I first watched from Boylston Street when I was 11. As an employee of BMC for the past five years, learning that they created a fundraising team was just the push I needed! I am now working to reach my personal goal while raising funds for an organization that I truly believe in. I am motivated everyday by my colleagues and from the children and families that I know benefit from the special programs BMC offers.
The funds I raise are going directly to a special program close to my heart, and my daily work, the Child Witness to Violence Project. The Child Witness to Violence is a therapeutic program for young children exposed to trauma.
The project has established a national reputation for excellence in clinical intervention with young children who are affected by domestic and community violence, and in improving systemic responses to identifying and responding to vulnerable children through training and consultation.
Funds I raise will go directly to support those children and families: through maintaining the toys, tools, and measures necessary for best practice or direct concrete support to children and families. Please help me support these children!
