Thanks for visiting my page! I am very excited to be runnng the Boston Marathon this year with Team BMC. Although this will be my 4th marathon, it has always been a goal of mine to run in Boston. I have run in Chicago, London and DC and am hoping to make Boston my best time yet!
Team BMC is running the Boston Marathon in support of Boston Medical Center. Team BMC helps raise awareness of Boston Medical Center's mission and supports the hospital's ability to offer the necessary services and programs to meet patients' needs. One of the exceptional programs at BMC is The SPARK Center.
I am running in memory of Paul Drew, Past Vice-President at BMC. Paul recently passed away and I am so honored to run in his name for The SPARK Center. The mission of the SPARK Center is "to help Boston's highest-risk children to build brighter tomorrows. SPARK provides therapeutic, medically-specialized programs for children of all ages based on the philosophy that all children are resilient and able to take control of their futures. The children include kids with HIV/AIDS, neurological disorders, children who have been abused or witnessed violence, and most recently, preemies graduating from the NICU and needing the specialized care that only SPARK can offer. Won't you consider helping me by supporting me with a donation of $10 or more to help this great cause. Every dime you send goes directly to the BMC SPARK Center for direct care and makes a real difference for the children and their dedicated staff. Thank you."
See you at the finish line - Laura
