BENEFITING: Texas Tech University Health Science Center
EVENT: Tour de Ted 2014
EVENT DATE: Oct 18, 2014
Tour de Ted participants, including me, have joined because we've been affected by cancer in some way, and because the Tour de Ted event gives us the power to fight back. This is my opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and help raise funds for important cancer research.
Kelsey Mae Davis is the lovely young woman with her horse in the photograph. She was a rodeo athlete, a special daughter, sister and friend who encouraged us all to Live Life to the Fullest. Kelsey passed away June 12, 2006 from cancer but her inspiration and encouraging example of faith and love of life grows stronger every day.
Kelsey is remembered by the words and scripture she shared with family and friends the day she passed. She asked us to "Live Life to the Fullest!" and always know the promise of 2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him."
Kelsey Mae Davis is our reason to ride, to donate and to boldly live life to the fullest. We strongly support the research being done at Texas Tech University Sciences Center and we are expecting a cure!
