ORGANIZER: BIG D POWDERPUFF TACKLING ALZHEIMERS INC
BvB Dallas is a powder-puff football game hosted for a day of fun, fellowship, philanthropy and enjoyment as a way of raising money for Alzheimer's research and awareness. Founded by sisters whose father was afflicted by Alzheimer’s, BvB is a personal way for young professionals across the country to raise awareness, funds and support to TACKLE ALZHEIMER'S FOREVER.
I will be participating in this event in honor of my beloved grandfather Thomas Russo. My grandfather battled this disease for over 4 years. I saw first hand how it effects people you care about most and thought that any orginization that helps combat this disease is something I wanted to be apart. So I decided to join the cause this year as a participant. What is so cool to me is that I can't think of any young professional group doing more for a singular cause like this that affects so many people. While there are other Alzheimer's advocacy groups, BvB Dallas is committed to funding research and caregiver support with your donations. Last year, we gave two grants totaling approximately $400,000 to fund research projects being conducted at local research institutions. That's not just raising awareness; it's working towards a cure. We've also used remaining funds to support caregivers and patient support. With BvB Dallas, your donations and sponsorships are really making a difference.
So, join us this year at the Cotton Bowl (Saturday, August 13th, 2016), and at our many events throughout the season, by donating today!
