ORGANIZER: BIG D POWDERPUFF TACKLING ALZHEIMERS INC
BvB Dallas is a powder-puff football game hosted for a day of fun, fellowship, philanthropy and enjoyment as a way of raising money for Alzheimer's research and awareness. Founded by sisters whose father was afflicted by Alzheimer’s, BvB is a personal way for young professionals across the country to raise awareness, funds and support to TACKLE ALZHEIMER'S FOREVER.
I lost my grandmother to this disease, which was devastating to say the least. While there are so many things I could say about my grandmother, Betty Otto, none of them would do her justice. I will never fully be able to put into words how much she taught me but I’ll continue to use those lessons every day for the rest of my life. Now, in her memory, I have a chance to make a difference!
What is so cool to me is that I can't think of any young professional group doing more for a singular cause like this that affects so many people. While there are other Alzheimer's advocacy groups, BvB Dallas is committed to funding research and caregiver support with your donations. Last year, BvB gave two grants totaling approximately $400,000 to fund research projects being conducted at local research institutions. That's not just raising awareness; it's working towards a cure. We've also used remaining funds to support caregivers and patient support. With BvB Dallas, your donations and sponsorships are really making a difference.
So, join us this year at the Cotton Bowl (Saturday, August 13th, 2016), and at our many events throughout the season, by donating today!
