BENEFITING: Childrens Cancer and Blood Foundation Inc.
ORGANIZER: Childrens Cancer and Blood Foundation Inc.
I will be (attempting) to run the ING NYC Marathon on November 4th. I am attempting this task (and probably giving up my ability to move/walk for a week) for the charity "Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation".
CCBF is a non profit organization and the tax-deductible donations enable them to provide comprehensive clinical care to children with cancer and blood disorders, support research initiatives & train the next generation of leaders in the field. I've volunteered with this organization a few times before and believe they are an amazing foundation to support!!
I promise I'll cross the finish line regardless of how many miles I end up walking/crawling/piggybacking.
Any donation really helps (and will really be 2x that donation since Macquarie will match all donations!)

The Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation supports children with cancer and blood disorders treated at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. CCBF has been accepted as a Community Charity partner for the ING New York City Marathon. CCBF is looking forward to supporting five runners who will be dedicating their marathon experience to supporting children with cancer and blood disorders! Your support enables us to provide comprehensive care to over 1,000 patients, including those who do not have adequate insurance coverage.
There are many ways to support CCBF in the marathon:
1.CCBF is part of the Community Charity program, but we have sold out of our five guaranteed entries! If you are interested in joining our waitlist should an additional spot become available, please contact Kristin at firstname.lastname@example.org. PLEASE DO NOT START FUNDRAISING UNTIL YOU CONTACT KRISTIN.
2. If you already have a spot in the marathon, you can still raise money for CCBF! For experienced runners who qualified for the race, you can still support CCBF. We ask that these runners pledge to raise $500 or more for CCBF. If you are interested, please contact Kristin at email@example.com.
Thank you for your interest in running for CCBF!
