I think the last time I ran was freshman year of high school, near the tail end of '03. Even then I was never much of a runner (I used to hide behind the bushes when my baseball coach would look the other way during foul pole laps). In honor of my 10-year anniversary of not running, I'm attempting the Chicago Marathon with Team CCO. My goals are twofold: to raise money and awareness for Cornerstone Community Outreach, who assist over 400 people daily with housing, meals and the support to get back on their feet in Chicago . . . and to beat Rich Troche.
