Chances for Children-Arizona was established in 1995 as an educational service provider for at-risk youth. After reorganization in 2003, Chances for Children-Arizona developed programming and services focusing on assisting individuals in balancing education/career, wellness, fitness, and charity for children and their families.
TEAM Fit Kids
The objective of TEAM Fit Kids is to provide running and walking programs to elementary schools that will introduce positive lifestyle activities and basic nutrition education to children and their families. The TEAM Fit Kids program prepares children to participate in at least three local community races during the school year. During the program, participants and their families are challenged with completing at least 25 miles of running/walking prior to participating in the final race with the goal being that they complete a marathon of their own on race day.
