Three years ago I was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis (TM), a rare neurological disorder caused by inflammation in the spinal cord. This disease changed my outlook on life for forever. Thankfully, I made a full recovery. However, 1/3 of the patients diagnosed with TM suffer permanent impairments that affect their ability to perform daily tasks and cause them to be wheelchair-bound or bedridden. My heart goes out to the TM population who are still battling this disease. Join me on September 20th for the IL Walk-Run-N-Roll benefiting the Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA). The event will be held from 10am-1pm at McCollum Park, 6801 South Main Street, Downers Grove, IL. Proceeds will benefit TMA's research and service programs for people with TM, NMO, ON and ADEM. If you can't join us for the walk please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause.
