The Chebagogo Foundation was founded in 2006 by Nelly Some, a Kenyan emigrant from the village of Moi's Bridge. Raised by her poor, elderly grandmother, Nelly experienced the hardship of Kenyan village life as a child. Were it not for her grandmother, or "Gogo", Nelly herself may have been an orphan. Seeing the affect of AIDS all around her, Nelly identified with the AIDS orphans.
As an adult, Nelly dedicated her life to the cause of supporting AIDS orphans in Kenya, with the belief that no child should be denied loving support, health or education.
We are dedicated to providing high quality education, housing, healthcare and eventually career opportunities to AIDS orphans in Kenya. We wish to provide assistance to all AIDS orphans in Kenya, regardless of religious background, culture, or gender.
