EVENT DATE: Oct 26, 2013
This year's Madison Down syndrome walk is extra special to our family. Doug and I have been working since June 2012 to open a GiGi's Playhouse in Madison. GiGi's is a Down syndrome awareness center than offers, free educational and social programs to it's families, along with support, resources and advocacy. MADSS and GiGi's have partnered together to make this happen and we have very recently started raising money for GiGi's Madison. A good portion of the walk proceeds will benefit GiGi's directly. Please help us get GiGi's open by the end of the year!
Personally, Coleman is doing great! He is attending Middleton Early Childhood three days a week and Middleton Preschool the other two plus OT, Speech, Aqua Therapy and on. I'm pretty sure he likes taking the bus better than when daddy drives him to school but it's a close call. He loves riding the bus, and school overall, swe get one of his huge smiles anytime you ask him about it. He knows his colors, letters and numbers. He is saying more and more, and knows hundreds of ASL signs. He is running, climbing and almost jumping. He and his sister get along great! Each one asks for the other first thing after they wake up. Shelby has been a huge motivator for Coleman this past year.
We hope to see you there!
