2013 LA Marathon: Team Courage
THE STORY:
Our team ran to help put an end to discrimination against LGBT Americans.
The team did great! And even though the race is over for 2013, you may still make a donation right on this page for the next few weeks. You can encourage and thank everyone on the team with a generous donation.
This is the civil-rights cause of our generation, and we are running to raise money to educate the public. The Courage Campaign Institute works to use public education, strategic research and training to help create a more equal society and defend and extend human and civil rights.
Your tax-deductible donation will help the Courage Campaign Institute keep up the fight to move opinion and to keep people informed about the personal consequences of discrimination. We are training young leaders, and we are publicizing stories that change hearts. As the struggle for fairness works its way through the courts of law, we need to keep up the work in the court of public opinion. This helps create an environment that is safer for kids and families.
