BENEFITING: Courage Beyond
EVENT DATE: Mar 16, 2014
As many people know my big brother, Kyle, passed away on July 30, 2011. He was active duty serving as Military Police. He was stationed in Germany and had served 15 months in Iraq. What many people do not know is that Kyle had been diagnosed with PTSD from Iraq. It was a battle he had been trying to fight for some time. PTSD stands for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. People like him should not have to suffer and with the proper resources can overcome it! A charity group called, Courage Beyond, provides confidential no-cost services to soldiers and their families with PTSD and other indivisible wounds of war. I am dedicating my next race, Shamrock Half Marathon, on March 16, 2014 to my brother, Kyle, and the Courage Beyond charity. I am asking you to please donate to the charity so other soldiers and their families can beat this disorder together!
