BENEFITING: Old St Patricks Church
ORGANIZER: Old St Patricks Church
I am running the Chicago Marathon on October 13. This is my 2nd marathon and again I am running as a part of Old St. Pats Charity team "Crossroads Runners". This is a tough race for a longhaired miniature dachshund with 4 inch legs and I appreciate your support and any treats you may have, preferably with bacon and/or cheese in them.
Through Crossroads Old St. Patrick's Church supports more than 20 local organizations that address poverty, homelessness, literacy, job placement and therapeutic services.
More information about Crossroads can be found at: http://oldstpats.org/marathon/about-us/
You can make a donation online at: www.crowdrise.com/thomasroyston
Website is pretty easy to use with a credit card. You instantly get your receipt for tax purposes. Please feel free to forward this to other family members and friends I've missed.
Thanks and keep the treats coming,
P.S. Since the race officials have yet to install porta potties for someone of my stature, I tend to make a mess for the other runners on the course and am officially banned from registering. So, I've registered under my owner's name. But, it's really me. You'll see my cute picture on the fundraising page, not a picture of my scary human owner. And, as a courtesy to the other participants in the event, when I'm running I do wear a sign hanging from my tail that says "Stay back! I make frequent, sudden and messy stops!"
