Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program is a therapeutic horseback riding program that has a dramatic impact on the physical and cognitive development of children with special needs.
For over 25 year, Lovelane has been committed to providing an individualized program for children with special needs that integrates the pure joy and freedom of riding a horse with the appropriate therapy to achieve the child's specific therapeutic goals. Lovelane provides 4,500 individual lessons annually for children with special needs with the help of 200 volunteers.
The Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane, which has become one of our signature events, will take place on Sunday, June 12th. Susan, an athlete, actress and equestrian, was a student at Lovelane throughout her 2 year battle with cancer. When treatments left her too exhausted to ride, she took joy in stable chores. Sadly, Susan is no longer with us, but her memory lives on in this annual run to benefit the children with special needs who ride at Lovelane.
The Run continues to grow each year. The funds raised from the Run have become a vital part of supporting Lovelane as 60% of Lovelane costs are funded through fundraising activities. Thank you for your generosity and support of the awesome work that takes place at Lovelane.
