Team Domagala has been established to honor the career of my father, Bernie Domagala, who was catastrophically injured 25 years ago in the line of duty.
More than 560 Chicago police officers have made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives in the line and performance of duty. The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation hosts the Run/Walk to Remember every year to honor these brave men and women who dedicated their lives to protecting the citizens of Chicago and to raise funds to support the Mission Beyond the Memorial, which provides assistance to the families of our fallen and catastrophically injured officers.
The 9th Annual Run/Walk to Remember is a 5K USATF chip-timed run/5K non-competitive walk which takes place on May 4th, 2013 and kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park, 1420 South Museum Campus on Chicago’s lakefront, just east of Soldier Field, rain or shine. You can run or walk as an individual or register with a team.
With everyone's generosity and amazing support we were able to raise our goal multiple times thus far. Within 4 hours of starting the fundraiser on 4/30/2013 we hit our initial goal of $500!! I raised it to $1000 and we reached that within the first day. Let's see how much we can continue to raise! New goal $1500.
Once again, with everyone's overwhelming generosity, Team Domagala has exceeded our goal; we yet again get to raise the goal! This time to $2000 and with today being the last day to get donations, the push is on! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your support, it truly means the world to us.
Thanks everyone for all the support! We had an awesome time at the Run 2 Remember and Team Domagala has raised over $2250 and counting. Thanks to everyone who donated, sent their kind thoughts, and to those who came out for support. It truly was a special day, my dad was very proud!
Also, this donation page is still active so we can continue to spread the word about the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation's fundraising events. Please help us in getting the word out there.
Thank you to everyone!
