Cure for ALS is the nonprofit organization founded by our family: Mike, Karen, Brian, and Kevin Duffy. We are known to many as Team Duffy. We learned about ALS from Jon Blais, a special education teacher, triathlete, and our friend who was diagnosed in May, 2005 and died May 27, 2007. Though we met Jon after he was diagnosed, our friendship was instant and life-changing; through Jon we've met many of our closest friends whom we consider family. "In strength & honor" we host the FIESTA 5k/15k Challenge and remain committed until there is a CURE.
Jon's bib number at the Ironman World Championship in 2005 was #179. You can donate as little as $1.79, as much as $179, or any amount. Every penny helps the research team at the Emory ALS Center get closer to finding the cause, more viable treatments, and eventually a cure.
