BENEFITING: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
ORGANIZER: Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
EVENT: 2012 Boston Marathon
It's official! I'm running the Boston Marathon 2012! It has always been a dream and goal of mine to run in the Boston Marathon. Every year I watch the marathon I am filled with awe and inspiration. I have ridden in the Pan-Mass Challenge twice (as you can see in my photos.) There is something so satisfying about setting a goal and achieving it.
As I embark on this journey, I know that it will be both physically and emotionally taxing. I will be relying on the support of my friends and family while I commit the next four months to training and fundraising for Mass Eye and Ear. Mass Eye and Ear is an organization that so many benefit from. Just this year one of my best friends was a patient for tonsil surgery, and had an excellent experience. As I talk to more and more people it seems that everyone has or know someone who has benefitted from the services at Mass Eye and Ear. The research and work that this organization does is groundbreaking and I feel fortunate to live in a city that people travel to from all over the world for medical care. Please support my run and this amazing organization!
